MODERN MECHANIX- So who knew that inline skates were first introduced way back in 1953? How about hosing down the inside of your modern house in the year 2000? Flat screen TV's in 1958? And don't forget those marvels of the World's Fairs!

RADIO SHACK CATALOGS - When I was a kid every year in the Fall I always looked forward to the latest Radio Shack catalog. I would pour through it looking at all the cool, new gadgets I wanted (but could never afford). I even kept my a lot of those catalogs through the years. Now somone has scanned and made them available again. Ah sweet youth! Contains high-res scans of the offerings of the tinkerer's temple turned cheap cellphone store starting from the grand ol' age of 1939. Within you will find pages filled with tubes, insulators, connectors, sockets, coils, Hammarlund condensers—all that went into the 30s' 40s' and 50s' basement ham radio and space alien communcation projects. Wow! How frickin' cool is this!
